I wanted to do a bit of research into effects I can add to my music video to give it different 'feels'. As All I'm creating is the visuals and not the music I feel like it's important for me to make the visuals as high quality and well fitting as possible. These are the videos I've found at intend to practice them within the near future.

I accidentally wasted a whole lot of time yesterday in an attempt to start the band website. I tried to use Wix which seemed more professional than weebly but Wix decided any layout changes would crash the whole page meaning I could barely edit or control the website. I hoped it was only on the school computers but when I tried at home? Nope. Below is what I manged to do without it crashing and although it doesn't seem a lot of work it took a whole lot of time and frustration.
;-;
To make sure our Music Videos are 'legal' we've been advised to attempt to email the band/record company who own/created our songs to gain their consent. I found the record label for Glass Animals album How to be a Human Being, on which Youth is on, is Caroline Records and emailed their general info department.
If I get no response or gain consent I will also put the disclaimer below is the description section of youtube once its uploaded just to be extra safe and ensure youtube doesn't take it down. I've also put this disclaimer on my other youtube videos for this course with music in the background including my 1 minute music video task.Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
In preparation for creating a website I've been having a look a weebly, one of the options for a website platform. As I'm in charge of promotion for a local band Idol Threats (You may recognise the drummer) I thought I'd use them as my website tester dummy.
Above is the homepage I created with a general picture of the band along with their name and links the social media. I liked this simple layout as it then meant the first seen page wasn't over crowded and springing information on the viewer straight away. I then found weebly offered the feature of creating several pages such as 'About', 'Photos' and 'Contact' which I found quite useful and very necessary for a band to have. I don't have photos of these as they were a bit empty (I'm trying to get the band to write their details) but have learnt how to add the various sections and the different layouts and I can create. I've found this practice very helpful preparation for later on in the course.
In preparation for the digi pack I will be making I've started to think of album cover ideas which I've displayed below.
Today I presented my pitch to Sir and here's the rather long (Sorry) video.
Here I present to you the one page pitch for my music video. I've prepared this ready for Friday on which I will be presenting it to Sir.
